Though Michael may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Surgener and Elizabeth Surgener. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Leonard; his stepson Eddie Leonard; and his siblings, Ricky Davis (Lesa), Denise Kilgore (Clay) and Paula Hunter (Bobby).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel (1106 TN-33, New Tazewell, TN 37825). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Graveside services will follow in the Irish Memorial Gardens, Pallbearers: Clay Kilgore, Marty Irvin, Steven Gibson, Jackson Collins, Ricky Davis and Nathan Ramsey, The family request that donations be made to the funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
