He was predeceased by: his parent Lee Dan Stone, Jr.; his friends, Judge Lee Asbury and Chancellor Billy Joe White; and his mother Sadie Jean Stanifer Stone. He is survived by: his son-in-law John D. McAfee; his wife Betty Runions Stone; his children, Chris Stone (Amber), Leigh Anne Stone McAfee (John) and Wesley Daniel Stone (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Cody Johnson, Loren Grace McAfee, Emma Stone and Abby Stone; his sisters, Sylvia Stone Duncan and Ann Stone Shipley; his grandsons, Thomas and Cooper; and his nephews, Samuel "Andy" Duncan, Adam Shipley, Jacob Shipley and Ryan Shipley.
The family requests donations be made in Danny's memory to the Alzheimer's Association or East Tennessee Children's Hospital.
