He was predeceased by: his father Samuel Ayers; and his nephew James Ayers Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ayers (Brooks); his mother Mossie Ayers (Hatfield) of New Tazewell, TN; and his siblings, James Ray Ayers of New Tazewell, TN, Kenneth Ayers (Donna) of Morristown, TN, Barbara Atkins (Clyde) of New Tazewell, TN and Shelia Ramsey of Rutledge, TN.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews.
