We are sad to announce that on March 3, 2023, at the age of 80, Dorothy Ann Patterson (New Tazewell, Tennessee), born in Tazewell, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arch Eldridge and Margineal Eldridge (Ramsey); her siblings, Helen Estes and Kestle; and her brother-in-law Harry Estes.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Shelburne (James) and Mark Eldridge Patterson (Sharon); her brother Willard Eldridge (Becky); her grandchildren, Clifton Tucker (Whitney), Alex Tucker (Taylor), Evan Shelburne, Johnathan Tucker (Kimberly), Jordan Shelburne, Jace Shelburne, Joseph Patterson, Kelli Patterson (James), Morgan Patterson, Luke Eldridge Patterson and Charlotte Patterson; her great grandchildren, Ellie Tucker, Liam Shelburne, Ezra Tucker and Landon Tucker; her siblings, Sue Moyers and James Eldridge; her close friends, Ed and Althea Hardin; and her godchildren, Sara Gravelle (Tommy) and Edward Hardin (Kristen). She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Given Dot's passion for education and reading, in lieu of flowers, the family would request that donations in Dot's honor be made to the Alpha School where she served on their board and as a volunteer guest reader. Those attending her services are welcome to bring a children's book to donate.
