With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Herschel Deaton Jr. of New Tazewell, Tennessee, born in Nashville, Tennessee, who passed away on December 24, 2020 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald H. Deaton, Sr. and Juanita P'Poole Deaton of Nashville, TN; and his brother Dave Deaton of Rochester, NY.. He is survived by: his children, Amanda Deaton Moyer (Eric) of Nashville, TN and Dustin Deaton (Kristen) of Cumberland Furnace, TN; his stepdaughter Sarah Bradley of New Tazewell, TN; his sister Dawn Rose (Fred) of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Elias Moyer, Travis Deaton and Jane Moyer; and his close friend Eddie Green of Nashville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family respectfully asks that you wear masks and pay your respects virtually if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID.
In lieu of flowers, Dr. Deaton preferred donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
