He is survived by: his wife Joyce McKinney Cox (Linda); his children, Penny Cox McDonald and Ricky Wade Cox; his grandchildren, Ty Earle (Sidney), Kateland Earle Hatley (Jared), Elijah Cox, Caroline McDonald, Garrett McDonald, Nathan McDonald and Paxton Cox; his great grandchild Jackson Earle; and his siblings, Coy Cox, Don Cox, Shirley Poore, Betty Johnston and Geri Ellison. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
