He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Burchell and Audrey Hall Burchell; his siblings, Roy Lee Jr. "Buddy" Burchell (Irene), Mazell "Sis" Miller (Herb), Virginia Mount (Gene), Jean Varnes and Bobby Burchell (Billie); his brother-in-law Jim Carroll; his former wife Patricia Burchell; and his daughter-in-law Karen Burchell.

He is survived by: his wife Shirl Hinkle Burchell; his sister Mary Carroll; his brother-in-law Lester Varnes; his children, Larry Burchell, Lisa Latorre (Manny) and Kristy McWilliams (Mike); his grandchildren, Matthew Latorre (Kellie), Heather Latorre (Marty), Paige Burchell (William Moorefield), Madison McWilliams and Morgan McWilliams; and his great grandchild Nathan Latorre. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
