He was predeceased by: his wife Helen R. Herrell; his mother Annie Herrell Reece; his stepfather Charlie Reece; his brother Carson Reece; and his brother-in-law Junior Stalans.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janice Larrance (Richard) and Rena Herrell (Roy Denton); his granddaughters, LaTonya Daniels (Mike) and Jocelyn Rauhuff (James); his great grandchildren, Trent, Ethan, Preston Daniels, Kendall and Caleb Rauhuff; his sisters, Bennie Mae Courtney (Connie), Josephine Shelton (Parlon) and Margie Wright (Sherman); and his siblings-in-law, Jill Reece and Ray Shelton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
