He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Moody and Ruth Moody; and his siblings, Wayne Moody and Elsie Hillard. He is survived by: his wife Kay; his stepsons, Jim and Jake Berry; his siblings, Lester (Pearlie), Dean (Fleda), Sam Moody (Laura), Pauline (Ronald), Hodge, Louise Chandler and Delores Shope; and his sister-in-law Pam. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
