He was predeceased by: his parents, J. V. Jr. Cline and Eula Mae Forgety Cline; and his brothers-in-law, George Gray, Larry Brooks, Ed Thomas and Charles Henson.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Thomas Cline; his children, Gloria Larrance (Nick), George Robert Cline II (Elizabeth), Deborah Saffell (Brady), James Edward Cline and Stacey Morgan; his grandchildren, Beau, Nate, Drew Larrance, Madison, Garrett Cline, Heather, Kelsie, Lane, Faith Whited and Keylee Brock; his stepgrandchildren, Aden, Ian and Tristen; his mother-in-law Louise Bozeman; his siblings, Sue Gray, Jo Myrick (Bob), Jane Littleton (David), J. V. Cline III and Duane Cline (Judy); and his sisters-in-law, Juanita Henson, Wanda Denton (Harold) and Diane Thomas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Jefferson County FFA Alumni (2639 North Hwy 92 Jefferson City, TN 37760) and Tennessee Ag in the Classroom (P.O. Box 313 Columbia, TN 38402-0313).
