He is survived by: his wife Lorene Willis Byrd; his children, Carl Lester Byrd Jr. (Sherry) of Rutledge and Lana (James R. Wilson) of New Market; his siblings, Gene Byrd (Kay) of Kodak and Joan Byrd Smith of Knoxville; his grandchildren, Doctor Carl L Byrd III (Michelle), Josh Byrd, Chasity (Robby), Dylan Byrd, Jeremiah Byrd, Benjamin Byrd, Abigail Byrd, Krisstopher Wilson and Kasie (David Kirkland); his great grandchildren, Tenley, Daniel, Chloe, Cameron, Jedidiah Byrd, Oliver, Aubrey Kirkland, Kamden, Rylan and Ridge Garland; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Hill (Ray), Joyce Ellison of Sevierville, Marilyn Byrd of Wisconsin, Arvin Willis (Margaret) of Del Rio, Esten Willis (Juanita) of Del Rio and Danny Willis (April) of Dandridge.
