He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Julia Ellen Waugh; his stepgrandchildren, Kimberlie Bloodworth (Barclay Bloodworth), Whitney Hunt Waugh, Jr., Jean Ellen Spengler (Craig Spengler), Isabella Waugh, Ethan Waugh, Michael Spengler, Julia Spengler, Lindsey Bloodworth, Caitlin Bloodworth and Benton Bloodworth; and his parents, Jean Elizabeth Hunt and Irving Cambridge Waugh.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Montgomery Bell Academy, 4001 Harding Road, Nashville, TN 37205.
