He was predeceased by: his parents, Tilmon Thomas Clayton and Luda Bell Clayton. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Clayton (Brown); his children, Dewayne Clayton (Allison), Daryl Clayton and Ashley Kimbrough (Josh); his pet Rusty; his siblings, Sharon McGill (Tommy), Darlene Blakenship (Kim), Roger Clayton, Randy Clayton and Susan Cochran (Todd); his grandchildren, Thomas Clayton (Sydney), Taylor Manus, Peyton Manus, Olivia Clayton (Tay), Haley Clayton and Jameson "Lil J" Kimbrough; and his great grandchild Alaya Clayton.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home (9090 TN-100, Nashville, TN 37221). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
