She was predeceased by: her mother Shirley Colter (Whitaker); and her sister Pam Tuders. She is survived by: her husband Roy Morefield; her children, Jeremy Whitaker (Christy), James Pelfrey, Brandy Pelfrey, B. J. Pelfrey, Jennifer Morefield, Ginny McClintock (Gary) and Brittney Sholar (Paul); her siblings, Eddie Whitaker, Debbie Brewster (Randy) and Michelle Whitaker; her close friends, Ruth and Buster Patterson; and her nephew Rashad. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cheatham County Funeral Home (117 Elizabeth St, Ashland City, TN 37015). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221).
