He is survived by: his mother Helen "Bunny" Holzapfel Kohl; his sisters, Mary Dorothy Smith (late Steve) and Karen Kohl; his nieces, Emily and Ellen; and his aunts and uncles, Angela Drennan (late Billy), Jim Kohl (Liz) of Knoxville, Margaret Rose Allen (late Tommy), Merrill Hare (Ray), Paula Long (late Bob), Everett Holzapfel (Mary Claire), Carole Donnelly (James), Theresa Hughes (Jack), Dorothy Sollee (Dick), Rita Thompson (Pat), Morgan Holzapfel (Sally), Cathy Caldwell (late Joe), Steve Holzapfel (Sue), Susie Rowland (Terry), Barbara Hobbs (late Bill) and John Holzapfel (Lisa).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Down Syndrome Association of Middle TN, Room In The Inn, or a charity of your choice.
