Robert Weeks Kitchel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Weeks Kitchel of Nashville, Tennessee, born in Islip, New York, who passed away on February 18, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Kitchel and Helen Weeks Kitchel of Kennett Square; and his siblings, Helen Lloyd Kitchel Gawthrop (McGill) of Hockessin and William Lloyd Kitchel (Polly) of Greenville, Delaware.. He is survived by: his wife Emily Fletcher Kitchel; his daughters, Emily Kitchel DeCamp (William) of Nashville and Helen Kitchel Fuqua (Alexander) of Atlanta; his grandchildren, William Wood DeCamp, Jr., Robert Kitchel DeCamp, Martha Stewart Fuqua Joiner (Dallis), Emily Fletcher Fuqua and Leila Harwell Fuqua; and his great grandchild Stephen Dallis Joiner, Jr.. He is also survived by ten nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the St. George's Episcopal Church (4715 Harding Pike, Nashville, TN 37205). A reception will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Belle Meade Country Club (815 Belle Meade Blvd, Nashville, TN 37205).
