He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Marcella Phillips; his siblings, Grace Hammond and Samuel Phillips; his children, Alyson Phillips-Morgan (Gregory), Sheldon Phillips (Colleen), Steven Phillips and Shantina Mitchell-Phillips; his stepchildren, Phyllis Gray (Robert), Cornell Stevens and Tamara Stevens; his sister Geraldine McClendon; and his grandchildren, Aaron Donaldson-Stevens, Hali, Steven, LaDonna, Bree, Nathanial, Taylor, Troy Jr., Sanyah, Eric, Bryan and Kalina.
