He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Thomas and Marguerite Thomas; and his son Richard Thomas (Jackie). He is survived by: his wife Carynne Thomas; his children, Dianna Thomas (Caye Showker), David Thomas (Sharon) and Brian Thomas (Tina); and his brother Ron Thomas (Norma). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
