She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Alfred Carl and Nell Methvin; and her brothers, George Methvin and Jerry Methvin. She is survived by: her husband Lillard Brown; her daughters, Connie Kimbro (William) and Debra Neary; and her grandchildren, Chad Martin, Brett Martin and Brooke Vizard (Ross). She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crievewood Baptist Church (480 Hogan Rd, Nashville, TN 37220). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in Nelda's memory to Crievewood Baptist Church or Begin Anew-two places where her heart for ministry and compassion for others shone brightly.
