He was predeceased by: his parents, Morgan Carl and Ruby Mayton, Sr.; his sisters, Mary Burfield and Debbie Mayton; his sister-in-law Anita O'Gaye; his brother J. D. Mayton; and his brothers-in-law, Howard Finch, Pete McCarroll, James Rivers, David Phipps, Michael Gay and Duncan E. Gay.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia; his children, Eddy A. McGill (Tommy), Morgan C. Mayton III (Thess) and Melinda Mayton Wray (Frank); his grandchildren, Joshua McGill (Desi), Kate McGill, Keith Mayton (Alana), B. Chase Mayton, Cameron Mayton (Katelyn), Jacob Brooks (Alice) and Samuel Wray; his great grandchild Emma Dean Mayton; his siblings, Corrine Finch, Norma Black (Jerry), Erma McCarroll, Marlene Mayton, Susie Rivers, Teresa Phipps, Paul Mayton (Marjorie), Steve Mayton (Donna) and Phillip Mayton; and his brother-in-law Doug Burfield.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mount Olivet Funeral Home & Cemetery (1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37210). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
