She was predeceased by: her sister Susan Mitchell; and her parents, Otto Werrbach, Jr. and Marie Therese Werrbach. She is survived by: her husband Mark Aebersold; her daughter Alyse West; her son-in-law Aaron West; her sibling Toby Werrbach; and her sister-in-law Peggie Werrbach.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Spring Hill Funeral Home (5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Josephs Catholic Church (1225 Gallatin Pike S, Madison, TN 37115). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery (5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the St. Joseph food bank in Monica's memory, continuing her tradition of generosity and compassion.
