He is survived by: his wife Julia Smith (Judy); his children, David Joseph Smith (Megan) and Tammy Marie Velasquez; his grandchildren, Riley Smith, Carter Smith, Nicole Cribbs and Matthew Velasquez; and his great grandchildren, Gentry Lee Cribbs and Lilliana Pryor.
