We are sad to announce that on February 12, 2025, at the age of 94, Marie Garland of Nashville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends can send flowers and condolences in memory of the loved one. She was predeceased by: her parents, John B Murphy and Mai Ella Yeargin Murphy; her husband William "Bill" Garland; and her siblings, Buddy Murphy, Jean Smith, Dan Murphy, Charlie Murphy and Ann Graves.
She is survived by: her children, Stanley Eugene Garland (Jackie), Marcus Wayne Garland and Connie Marie Pomeroy (Eddie); her daughters-in-law, Mary and Kathi; and her sister Velma Mai Murphy. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a host of extended family members and beloved friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the West Harpeth Funeral Home (6962 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN 37209). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
