He is survived by: his wife Irma Melendez; his children, Brenda Melendez Coulter (Christopher) and Nelson Melendez (Katrinna); his grandchildren, Brandon, Sierra and Joshua Melendez; his brothers, Rafael Melendez, Manuel Melendez and Esteban Melendez; his daughter Nadja Y Melendez; his brother-in-law Reinaldo "Rey" Crespo; and his siblings, Carmen Melendez, Olga Ponce, Paulita Melendez, Celia Melendez, Lydia Melendez, Nitza Melendez, Mary Melendez, Jose C. Melendez, John B. Melendez, Angel Melendez and Alberto Melendez.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Spring Hill Funeral Home (5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Name Catholic Church (521 Woodland St, Nashville, TN 37216). A burial will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221).
