He is survived by: his caregiver Lois Finney; his son Joe Martin, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Lori Marti; his grandchildren, Stephany Martin, Marcelius Russ and Joena'Drummond; his siblings, Wilson Martin (Dorothy), James Melvin Martin of Murfreesboro, TN, Douglas Odell Martin of Nashville, TN, Juanita Matthews of Murfreesboro, TN and Betty Martin of Lascassas, TN; his sister-in-law Elizabeth Martin of Robbins, IL; and his nephew Terry. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Highland Hills Funeral Home & Crematory (2422 Brick Church Pike, Nashville, TN 37207). Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Middle Tn State Veterans Cemetery (7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221).
