She was predeceased by: her mothers, Olan Bradford McElvey and Helen Hamilton; her former husbands, Hunter Baird Short and Tom Hofstetter; her husband Donald W. Banner; her son-in-law Bob Whitaker; and her stepson Mark Banner.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Phipps (Skipper), Helen Smith (Chip) and Louise Whitaker; her grandchildren, Allie Schoen (Erich), Rob Phipps (Alicia), Jenna Ramsey (Hagan), Drew Smith (Kaede-Ray), Clay Smith (Mary Eugenia), Brad Whitaker (Caroline) and Tee Whitaker; her stepchildren, Peggy Dau (Jim), Donald Banner (Helen), Brian Banner (Cathleen), Pamela Krupka (Bob) and Kathie German; her cousin Nann McPherson; her brother-in-law Reverend Riley Short (Patty); her caregivers, JoAnn, Ree Ree, Bridgett Bunch, Niecie Webster, Greta Simon, Kim Henderson and Vickie Fitzpatrick; and also Lurline Almon. She is also survived by 8 step-grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
