James Stephen Turner Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Stephen Turner (Nashville, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 11, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cal Turner and Laura Katherine Turner; his former wife Judy Turner; his daughter Laura Anne; and his sisters, Laura Jo Dugas and Betty Turner Campbell.
He is survived by: his son Jay; his daughter-in-law Christi; his grandchildren, Katherine and Stephen; his brother Cal Turner, Jr.; and his wife Barbara. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center (1 Symphony Pl, Nashville, TN 37201). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Never one to boast about his philanthropy, Steve took great pride in how three generations of his family collaborated with one another as stewards of the James Stephen Turner Family Foundation.
