He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus Charles and Celeste Amelia Enderle Scherer; and his siblings, Tom Scherer, Charles Lee Scherer and Mary Louise Scherer.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Scherer; his children, Cindy Scherer (Mike Thompson), Lori Clark (Alan Clark), Steve Scherer (Rhoda Scherer) and John Scherer (Jerri Green); his grandsons, Carter Clark and Zach Clark; his siblings, Ruth Anne Cashion, Clara Grider, Celeste Nenninger, Clete Scherer, Harold Scherer, Ann Bond and Daniel Scherer; his siblings-in-law, Joyce Orrand and Veguer Jean-Jumeau; and his caregiver Sue Clark.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Cremation Center (9090 TN-100, Nashville, TN 37221). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
