He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Grooms and Mildred Grooms; and his brother Bill Grooms. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Hatfield Grooms; his children, Angie Hedgepath (Clay) and Jim Hatfield (Heather); his grandchildren, Brittany (Sam), Jay (Hailey), Kristen (Austin), Jordan (James), Jared (Angelica) and Abby; his great grandchildren, Freja, Winnie, Tallie and Aubree; and his sisters, Beulah James and Nancy Cotton.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park (660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jamie's name may be made to the Nashville Humane Society or by phone to the Al Menah Shriners of Nashville, Tennessee—two causes close to his heart.
