We are sad to announce that on February 4, 2025, at the age of 84, James Elmer Smith Jr. (Nashville, Tennessee), born in Bolton, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Elmer Smith, Sr. and Bernice Rube Smith; and his sisters, Jeannine Hamon and Dolly Ann Weger. He is survived by: his wife Janet Todd Smith; his daughter Ashley Smith Hempfling (Blaine); his grandsons, Ethan and Isaac Hempfling; and his sisters, Marguerite Vance and Patsy Girard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home (9090 TN-100, Nashville, TN 37221). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
