Though Gwendolyn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gwendolyn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her children, Clarissa Rucker, Natasha Tyus (Doyal), Carmelatia Mason and Spencer Rucker (Arnita); and her siblings, Carl Rouse (Timethia), Tyrone Rouse, Robert Rouse and Alice Smith (Laura Campbell). She is also survived by 10 grandkids, 7 great grandkids, and a host of family and friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Highland Hills Funeral Home & Crematory (2422 Brick Church Pike, Nashville, TN 37207). Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mt Calvary Baptist Church (1238 Briarville Rd, Madison, TN 37115). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
