He was predeceased by: his parents, John Norman Pointer and Dorcas Moore Williams Pointer; his wife Paula Qualls Pointer; his son Kenney Pointer; and his sisters, Mary Buck (Bill) and Nila Bryant (Jay).
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Pointer (Tracy) and Karen Johnson (Chris); his daughter-in-law Lynn Pointer; and his grandchildren, Mac Pointer (Colleen), Claire Pointer-Jaeckel (Adam), Shannon Roll (Mike), Elliot Johnson (Aiyana), Kaitlin Werner (Erik) and Trevin Pointer. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cookeville Chapel (59 N Jefferson Ave, Cookeville, TN 38501). A burial was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at the Paran Cemetery (3812 Paran Rd, Cookeville, TN 38506).
