He is survived by: his wife Martha Ann (Hudson); his sons, Matt and Craig McClendon; his grandchildren, Thomas and Kaley McClendon; his sister Beth Dial (Howard); his nephew Eric Dial; and his niece Miriam Dial.

The family requests no flowers. Donations can be made to TN Baptist Children's Home, Franklin campus.
