She is survived by: her son Santquan Cortez; her siblings, Marsha Gordon, Geraldine Avery, Joseph, Charles, Jr. Drake (Anita), Brain Drake (Nicole) and Corey Drake; her uncle Thomas Gordon (Joyce); her sisters-in-law, Juanita Finney, Sandra, Jackie and Margie Scales; and her friends, Brenda Singleton, Marilyn Baines, Carolyn Owens, Willa Langford and Dorothy Swift. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends, other relatives.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Payne Chapel AME Church (212 Neill Ave, Nashville, TN 37206). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Dalewood United Methodist Church (2300 Ridgecrest Dr, Nashville, TN 37216).
