She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Ella Wright Gipson and James Henry Wright; her stepfather James Allen Gipson; her siblings, Bertha (Pauline Wright), Catherine Carey, Lucille Boggs, Evelyn Hughes (Peggy Glover), Gilbert and James Edward Wright; her daughter Linda Joyce Fann; her grandson Sean Michael Carter; and her daughter-in-law Sherry Carter.

She is survived by: her children, Sharon, Donna Carter and George Carter; her grandchildren, Kimberly, Penny Fann, Amanda, Terri Carter, Darrick White, Billy Joe and Scoti Carter; her great grandchildren, Justin Brachey, Devin, Heather, Miranda, Ashley, Zachary, Bailey Fann, Sydney White and Brian Cole; and her grandchildren, Hayden Jones, Arianna, Mika, BJ Jr., Chevy, Rosie, Delishia, Grayson Carter, Bentley Harris, Addie, Duke, Serenity Fann, Dono van, Johnathan Brown and Aurora Fann.
