With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Jean Burton Black of Nashville, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 16, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her great-grandparent Bettye Jean Burton Black; her parents, Bob Burton and Ethel Burton; her husband Roy Black; and her grandfather Roy Black.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Black (Sherri) and Jennifer Rowland (Clark); her grandchildren, Alex Black (Sarah), Andi Harris (Jordan), Sam Rowland (Ally), Austin Black and Jon Rowland; her great grandchildren, Emery, Eli, Aiden, Aubrey, Jackson, Mason, Bennett and Kaiden; her niece Linda Poole (late Junior); and also, Jennifer, Woody, Maureen, Mike, Cassie, Wade, Gracie, Jeff, Marcia and Richard.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Woodlawn Cemetery - Sermon.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in memory of Bettye Black to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
