She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Lester and Lola Nellie Mae Jones (Hight); and her siblings, Dorothy Faye Jones and Clayton Jones. She is survived by: her son Terry Short (Bessie); her grandchildren, Dawn Meadors (Clint), Ashley Bugg (Brad) and Brittnie Bern (Travis); her great grandchildren, Cason Hill, Madelyn Meadors, Brooklyn Bern, Morgan Meadors, Kennedy Bern, Ellie Bugg, Paisley Bugg and Pruett Bern; her husband Floyd G. Short; and her brother Raymond Jones.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home (820 S Church St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery.
