With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy Gayle Mathis of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on November 14, 2024 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Mathis and Nancy Bain Mathis; his siblings, Freddy Tidwell, Bobby Mathis, Landon Mathis, Larry Mathis, Julus Lee Mathis, Timothy Mathis, Lanny Mathis, Margie Gunter, Helen Fults and Patricia Mathis; and his sister-in-law Pamela Mathis.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jimmy Mathis of Murfreesboro, James Tidwell (Marie) of Smithville, George Mathis (Debbie) of Shelbyville, Mikey Mathis of Murfreesboro, Janice Barrett of Tullahoma and Rosetta Brown (Floyd) of Murfreesboro; and his brother-in-law Jimmy Barrett. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.
