She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter May and Clara Tryon May; her husband Eugene Mowry; her son Guy Mowry; and her brother Jimmy May.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jennifer (Joel), Talia (Milton), Joabe II, Elizabeth (Matthew), Victoria and Samuel; her great grandchildren, Matthew, Isabella, Alexander and Audrey; her sister Sandra Smith; and her nieces and nephews, David Smith, Gary Smith, Mimi Mowry Clarke, Cindy Smith, Bonnie Kay Smith, Tiffany Yoha and Caren Truax.
