He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Yates and Louise Yates; and his sister Lesslie Horton. He is survived by: his siblings, Lynn Thomas (Johnny Thomas), Ernest Yates Jr. (Anita) and Nan Casey (Rick); and his brother-in-law David Horton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
