He is survived by: his wife Joan Watts Howell; his children, Beth Neal (Andy), Virginia Razo (Michael), Ryan Howell, Hannah Johnson (Benjamin) and Molly Howell; and his grandchildren, Ailene, Eudora, Beatrix, Matthew, Connor, James, Grace and Lila.
