He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie C. Melton, Sr. and Bertie Parsley Melton; and his siblings, Mark, Joe, Agnes, Nancy and Mae Helen.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bell Melton of Murfreesboro; his children, Mark Melton (Mary) of Manchester and Stacey Early of Lebanon; his grandchildren, Jessie Melton, Caleb Early, Andrew Early and Samuel Early; and his siblings, Ann Warren of Woodbury, Illeon Ferrell of Woodbury and Jimmy Melton (Judy) of Murfreesboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Woodbury Funeral Home (504 W Main St, Woodbury, TN 37190). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home (504 W Main St, Woodbury, TN 37190). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at the Gunter Grizzle Cemetery.
