Sowell; his grandchildren, Gabrielle Sowell and Emanuel Sowell; his cousins, Mable Anita Sowell, Reginald D. Powell, Darlene Crenshaw (James), James H. Sowell Jr., Orletta Sowell and Gabriel Sowell; his aunt Christy D. Sowell; and his close friend Dr. Lavendra Shoots.
