She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Harrison Shockney and Hazel Elizabeth Poteet Shockney; her husband James E. "Jim" Estes, Sr.; and her son James E. "Jim" Estes, Jr.. She is survived by: her son Jay Estes; her grandchildren, Cheryl, Jacob, Jamie, Emalyn and Katherine; her great grandchildren, Blake, Christina, Savannah and Matthew; and her brother Ray Shockney.
