She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Ramsey and Crystell Keen Ramsey. She is survived by: her husband James Ray Barnes of Murfreesboro, TN; her daughters, Karen Redmon (Todd) of Murfreesboro, TN, Leigh Mangum (Greg) of Murfreesboro, TN and Jennifer Ridgeway (Lee) of Murfreesboro, TN; her grandchildren, Kayla Seagle (Mac), Kylee Mangum, Tyler Redmon, Abbie Messick (Justin), Hannah Ridgeway, Raelee Ridgeway, Jackson Ridgeway and Cooper Mangum; her brother James Robert Ramsey; her sisters-in-law, Bobbie Rasmey of Gallatin, TN and Kaye Crain (Lannie) of Pine, LA; and her nieces, Lyn Taylor (Ronnie), Cynthia Pope (Chris), Christina Maclean (Cam) and Kendra Jackson (Bobby).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Woodfin Funeral Chapel - Murfreesboro (1488 Lascassas Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Evergreen Cemetery (519 Greenland Dr, Murfreesboro, TN 37130).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideons International or the Prayer Shawl Ministry at One Church Barfield in memory of Marilyn.
