He is survived by: his wife Betty Lauderdale Cothron; his daughters, Phyllis Kittle and Sherrie Gilliam (David); his grandchildren, Michael Kittle (Jennifer), Elizabeth Womack (John) and Caroline Carothers (Richard); his great grandchildren, Alex, Soren, Abigail, Alan and Ansley; and his brother Max Cothron (Karin).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kenneth Cothron's name to Red Bird Mission.
