He was predeceased by: his daughter Beverly Yvonne Barker; his parents, Isaac Glen Barker and Effie Leonard Barker; his parents-in-law, Ted L. Hoss and Henrietta Galyon Hoss; and his siblings, Thelma Stratton, Mona Barker, Omar Barker and Jack Barker.
He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Barker; his children, Alan Barker (Sherry) of Gray, TN, Rick Barker of Murfreesboro, TN, Karen Barker Williams (Chad) and Carlos Montero; his grandchildren, Katie Edens (Adam), Kristen Williams, Zachary Stanley, William Barker, Matthew Barker (Jasmine), Adam Hagood (Katie) and Kali Redman (Ryan); and his sisters, Betty McCracken and Joann Helton. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oakley-Cook Funeral Home (2223 Volunteer Pkwy, Bristol, TN 37620).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to a charity of your choosing in memory of Johnny.
