As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though John may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh C. Todd and Rosalie Todd; his wife Marilee Ditmer Todd; his son Stephen Todd; and his sisters, Bea Pritchard and Jean Jenkins.

He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Shepherd (Craig) and Elaine Hunt (Rick). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven grandchildren in love; fifteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to Adoration Hospice or charity of your choice.

“To John's family: I have no idea of the thousands of Public Health Service Officers who in the course of John's career were touched in some significant way by John. He always waS spoken of in terms of a role model for officers to follow. Dedicated to mission but personable relateable to officers of any rank. One example was while in long term training with to me a critical question, when he quickly checked and provided me an answer ass though it was th;e only thing he had to do.”
