It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jo Ellen Shamburg (Murfreesboro, Tennessee), who passed away on November 13, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Duane Shamburg; her grandson Derek Hunter; her parents, Patterson Cole and Katherine Pigg Butler; and her sisters, Barbara Anne Davis, Judy Johnson and Lucille Cole.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Tillery, David Shamburg (Andrea) and Tracy Shamburg; her grandchildren, Ivan Andrew Hunter Jr., Craig Hunter, Katherine Vazquez (Pablo), Jennifer Garcia (Anthony), Daniel Shamburg (Brigid) and Ashley Tillery; and her siblings, John Cole, Mildred Ryman, Elizabeth Spicer and Martha Davis. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Church of God (2011 St James St, Murfreesboro, TN 37128). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
