He was predeceased by: his wife Sonia Wiser Haynes; his parents, George William Haynes Sr. and Mary Barton Jetton Haynes; and his brothers, George William Haynes Jr. and Jack Haynes.
He is survived by: his children, Valerie Smith (Jim), Libby Hutchins, Kim Damesworth (Steve) and Eddie Wiser; his brother Thomas J. Haynes (Margaret); his grandchildren, Katie Furgeson, Whitney Redden, Matthew Rogers, John Rogers, Justin Wiser (Stephanie), Daniel Wiser (Madison), Stephanie Johnson, Ashley Jordan (Ethan), Edie Smith, Cooper Smith, Haynes Hutchins, Harlan Hutchins and Madison Gunter (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Macie Steele, Ella Johnson and Jack Gunter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home (820 S Church St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery (519 Greenland Dr, Murfreesboro, TN 37130).
